Perfect Force Testing on Point-Setting Systems

As a compact integration of load-measuring pin and display, the newly-developed HZM tongue-force measuring device provides everything necessary for perfect force testing onpoint-setting systems. The handy, light and versatile measuring device with a wide range of accessories has been approved for use in the networks of the Deutsche Bahn (DB Netz AG). Compact design, simple operation, large memory, high degree of IP protection and long operating time and service life, make the HZM a reliable instrument, especially when in continuous use. Setting force, setting resistance and holding force can be measured precisely, conveniently and swiftly. All kinds of forces can be measured with the universal HZM force-measuring device in combination with the different force-measuring pins - not only on points and point machines.

Load-measuring pins
The tedious task of calibrating measuring pins before each measurement is now a thing of the past. An EEPROM memory in the connector of the load-measuring pin stores calibration,  manufacturer  and  other  data.  The  intelligent  solution prevents incorrect pin calibration by the operator. As the pins can  be  locked,  measurements  can  be  made  safely  when trains are crossing points.

HZM-IIS coupling module
With the help of the HZM-IIS coupling module, data can be exchanged between the HZM and the Integrated Inspection System (IIS) database used by Deutsche Bahn AG. The HZM can use the export files from the IIS to make measurements and export the measurement results to the IIS.

The  Windows-compatible  diagnostic  software  provides  a whole range of helpful and convincing tools. Project-related information  on  point  location,  manufacturer,  type,  year  of manufacture,  year  of  installation  can  be  easily  and  clearly administered  and  stored  for  further  evaluation.  Graphic representation  of  the  forces  measured,  the  overlap  of  the force curves and comparison with the nominal-actual values enable vital and extensive evaluation.
